Fearless Rick's 2016 College Football Picks - Week 5 late games
All times Eastern
3:30 pm Tennessee (-3 12, 53) at Georgia - The Bulldogs got blasted last week by Ole Miss, 45-14, so maybe things are not all so peachy between the hedges. Tennessee improved to 4-0 with their 38-28 victory over Florida and they're ranked #11 in both the AP and Coaches polls.
The Vols are a dangerous team that has been building up with good recruits over the past three years and has a legitimate shot at winning the SEC title. On the road should not be an issue for them. Look for a breakout victory for Tennessee.
Coin Flip: Georgia
Prediction: Volunteers 41 Bulldogs 20
Florida State had its clocks cleaned and delivered by Louisville two weeks ago, but they didn't lose their mojo, hammering South Florida last week, 55-35. They should run it up here at home.
Coin Flip: Florida State
Prediction: Seminoles 49 Tar Heels 24
Wisconsin may have one of the toughest schedules in the country, and they're also 4-0, sporting wins over LSU and last week's 30-6 mauling of Michigan State. Despite being on the road, look for the Badgers to pull off one of the season's biggest upsets.
Coin Flip: Michigan
Prediction: Badgers 27 Wolverines 24
The Sooners may have to be taken out on a stretcher after this one.
Coin Flip: Oklahoma
Prediction: Horned Frogs 38 Sooners 26
Though the Wildcats did beat South Carolina last week, 17-10, that's a far cry from what they'll need to do this week. Florida beat the Wildcats, 45-7, earlier this season. Imagine what the Crimson Tide will do.f
Coin Flip: Alabama
Prediction: Crimson Tide 56 Wildcats 6
Coin Flip: Memphis
Prediction: Tigers 38 Rebels 36
Coin Flip: Clemson
Prediction: Tigers 31 Cardinals 25
Look for the Spartans to shut down what is an offense still finding its way and put that Wisconsin loss behind them.
Coin Flip: Indiana
Prediction: Spartans 34 Hoosiers 16

WEEK 5 NCAA Footall Picks - late games
3:30 pm North Carolina at Florida State (-11, 69) - After losing to Georgia in their opener, 33-24, the Tar Heels have reeled off three straight wins, though last week was a close call, a 37-36 win over Pitt. It appears that North Carolina is headed for a bowl game this season, but the Seminoles may be headed for more.
3:30 pm Wisconsin at Michigan (-10 1/2, 45) - The Wolverines are 4-0, ranked #4, but they haven't proven themselves yet, as the best teams they've beaten so far are Colorado and Penn State, which isn't saying much.
5:00 pm Oklahoma (-3 1/2, 69 1/2) at TCU - Sorry, Sooner fans, but this just isn't your year. Oklahoma has already been taken out by Houston and Ohio State, and TCU hasn't missed a beat this season, going 3-1, their only loss a 41-38 defeat to Arkansas in double overtime.
7:00 pm Kentucky at Alabama (-35, 57 1/2) - That 35-point spread is one mighty big meatball, as they say, but the Tide is rolling and Kentucky has little with which to stop it.
7:00 pm Memphis at Ole Miss (-14 1/2, 67) - Payback or playback? Last season, the Tigers welcomed Ole Miss in for a little game of tackle football and shocked the nation with a 37-24 victory. Now, the Rebels want revenge, but that may be tough to come by as the Tigers look as good as ever - maybe even better than last season. They've outscored their first three opponents by a combined score of 155-27. Scary to give them two touchdowns.
8:00 pm Louisville (-2, 67 1/2) at Clemson - Wow! Just wow! An ACC game for the ages. We;ll take the Tigers just because they're on track for a national championship and Louisville has some lessons to learn.
8:00 pm Michigan State (-7, 53 1/2) at Indiana - People may be reading too much into Michigan State's big loss to Wisconsin last week, but the Hoosiers were upended by Wake Forest, at home, 33-28, so they're not exactly a threat in the Big Ten.
