NFL Week 11 Picks - Late Games
NFL Week 11 Late Games
All times Eastern
4:05 pm Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (-11 1/2, 46) - Well, now there are no undefeated teams left after the 49ers fell to Seattle, in overtime, 27-24, Monday night. That loss should not deter the San Francisco faithful, as they still hold sway in the division by 1/2 game over the Seahawks.
Arizona, 3-6-1, lost another close one, losing 30-27 at Tampa Bay last week, and the 28-25 loss to the 49ers on Halloween is still fresh. The Cardinals spread the ball around, and Kyler Murray has proven to be a threat from anywhere on the field. The big difference is on defense. Arizona is allowing 28.1 points per outing, San Francisco, 14.3. This is Arizona's fourth road game in the last five weeks.
Coin Flip: San Francisco
Prediction: 49ers 34 Cardinals 20
Cincinnati only scores 15.2 points per game (29th) which leaves their defense on the field much too often. Oakland has scored 31 points twice this season. They should surpass that here.
Coin Flip: Cincinnati
Prediction: Raiders 38 Bengals 17
Philly is also coming off a bye and they've won their last two. Tied with the Cowboys for the lead in the NFC East at 5-4, this would be a good place to show what they've got. It's all up to the Eagles' defense. In four losses, they've allowed an average of 31.5 points. In five wins, they've given up 17.4. We know all about New England, but which Philly defense will show up? Eagles are 3-3 coming off a bye, the Patriots 5-1 since 2013.
Coin Flip: New England
Prediction: Patriots 30 Eagles 20
The Rams have trouble beating really good teams, as losses to San Francisco and Seattle will attest, and the Bears, like the Steelers last week, are on the cusp. This line would have been more honest at -3. The Bears may win outright.
Coin Flip: Chicago
Prediction: Bears 21 Rams 19
8:15 pm Kansas City Chiefs (-4, 52 1/2) at Los Angeles Chargers (Mexico City) - While this counts as a home game for the Chargers, it's really miles and miles away, but, being from LA, they'll have plenty of fan support. Despite having a pretty balanced team, the Chargers are 4-6, but can make headway with a win over the AFC West leader. KC is 6-4, and their defense was bruised last week in Tennessee, losing, 35-32. Not convinced the Chiefs are that much better than the Chargers, they are desperate for a win, having lost four of their last six.
Phillip Rivers and the LA defense keeps them in games. Of their six losses, none have been by more than seven points and three have been by three or less. The Chiefs are vulnerable on defense. In their last three losses, they've allowed 31, 31, and 35 points.
Coin Flip: Kansas City
Prediction: Chargers 34 Chiefs 31

Week 11 Early Games
4:25 pm Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders (10 1/2, 48 1/2) - Thanks to Tennessee topping the Chiefs last week, 35-32, and Oakland's 26-24 victory over the Chargers, the Raiders are just 1/2 game back in the wide open AFC West. The Raiders haven't been able to win three straight this season, but this should be their breakthrough game. Cincinnati is coming off a humbling, 49-13, rout by the Ravens, and, at 0-9, they should bag the remainder of the season and look for a new QB in the Spring draft.
4:25 pm New England Patriots (-3 1/2, 44 1/2) at Philadelphia Eagles - The Patriots, when last seen, were losing at Baltimore, 37-20, their first loss of the season. With a bye last week, they should be geared up to take out the Eagles in Philly. Other than their loss to the Ravens, none of New England's eight wins have been close other than a 16-10 win at Buffalo, a team the Eagles easily handled in week eight, 31-13.
8:20 pm Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams (-6 1/2, 41 1/2) - If the Rams couldn't beat the Steelers (lost last week, 17-12), how are they going to defeat the resurgent Bears? At 5-4, they're being outdistanced by the Seahawks (8-2) and 49ers (8-1) in the division and are staring at even missing out on a wild card (Carolina, Philly, Dallas are all 5-4). The Bears woke up a bit in their 20-13 win over the Lions and can make some headway with a road win.
Monday, November 18
Bye: Green Bay, NY Giants, Seattle, Tennessee
