NFL Week 17 Late Games

All times Eastern

4:25 pm Philadelphia Eagles (-4 1/2, 45) at New York Giants - The Eagles can clinch the NFC East with either a win or a loss and a Dallas loss. If the Eagles lose and Dallas beats the Redskins, Dallas is in, Philly is out.

With all that on the line, the Eagles should have plenty of motivation in their rematch with the Giants. In week 14, the Eagles hosted the Giants, but needed overtime to secure a 23-17 victory. Daniel Jones is likely to start for the G-Men, but Eli Manning remains a threat should he be needed late in the contest. Realistically, the 4-11 Giants and 8-7 Eagles aren't that far apart. This is a fierce divisional rivalry and the Giants are probably going to do everything they can to upend the Eagles.

Coin Flip: New York Giants

Prediction: Eagles 23 Giants 21

4:25 pm Pittsburgh Steelers (-2, 37 1/2) at Baltimore Ravens - The Ravens have nothing to gain, having sewn up the AFC North and the #1 seed in the playoffs. QB Lamar Jackson is definitely going to sit, along with a host of other starters, leaving the offense in the hands of Robert Griffin III.

Even with their second or third stringers playing (fresh), the Ravens are probably better than the Steelers, who need lots of help to reach a wild card spot. The Ravens won the first meeting in week five, 26-23, in OT, but much has changed since then. That win started the Ravens' 11-game winning streak. Baltimore is the team to beat in the AFC and their subs should handle the hopefuls from Pittsburgh with ease.

Coin Flip: Baltimore

Prediction: Ravens 27 Steelers 17

4:25 pm Indianapolis Colts (-3 1/2, 43) at Jacksonville Jaguars - Despite a record of 7-8, the Colts actually don't have a path to the playoffs, because they lose tiebreakers to the other three teams that could finish up 8-8: Tennessee, Pittsburgh, and Oakland. Even though this game lacks motivation for either side, the Colts look like the better team. Indy won at Jacksonville in week 11, 33-13, and should be able to build off of that score.

Coin Flip: Indianapolis

Prediction: Colts 34 Jaguars 9

4:25 pm Tennessee Titans (-3 1/2, 45) at Houston Texans - Tennessee has the easiest path to the playoffs of the teams still vying for the second wild card. A win and they're in, regardless of what Pittsburgh or Oakland do. There's no upside for the Texans here. They've wrapped up the division and have no possibility of getting a bye in the first round. It's a certainty that they will play the Bills next week in the playoffs. Keeping Tennessee out of the playoffs is a lesser concern, so don't expect a top effort from the Texans.

The Titans rested stud running back Derrick Henry last week in their 38-28 loss to the Saints, but he'll be a nearly full strength in his return this week. Tennessee lost, 24-21, at home to the Texans just two weeks ago, so they are rightfully favored.

Coin Flip: Tennessee

Prediction: Titans 31 Texans 14

4:25 pm Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (-11, 44 1/2) - The Cowboys really don't deserve to make the playoffs after their ugly game last week in Philadelphia, a 17-9 defeat that wasn't even that close. Dallas has lost four of its last five games and is headed home if Philadelphia defeats the Giants.

The Cowboys defeated the Redskins, 31-21, in week two, but Washington has gone through changes since then. Case Keenum will start in place of injured QB Dwayne Haskins, and the Redskins have a shot to win this game. Dak Prescott is listed as questionable. He was not accurate last week due to a nagging shoulder injury. If he can't go, Cooper Rush will be behind center. Uh-oh!

Coin Flip: Washington

Prediction: Redskins 24 Cowboys 17

4:25 pm Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-7, 49) - The Rams have to feel deflated. They were 8-5 heading into week 15, with a playoff berth awaiting them, but they got whipped in Dallas, 44-21, and the following week blew a 21-10 lead in their 34-31 loss at San Francisco. Buh-bye playoffs, hello second-guessing off-season. There's unfinished work to do with the Cardinals, who last week stunned Seattle with a 27-13 upset, a week after the Cardinals hosted the Browns and ripped them to shreds, 38-24.

At 5-9-1, the Cardinals certainly have found some things that work for them and a record of 5-9-1 is not bad, considering they were 3-13 last season and this year started rookie Kyler Murray at QB. Murray is nursing a sore hamstring and is questionable, but backup Brett Hundley proved he can be reliable should Murray not play. Gotta like the Cardinals' chances here.

Coin Flip: Los Angeles Rams

Prediction: Cardinals 24 Rams 20

4:25 pm Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos (-3 1/2, 41) - The Raiders may spend more time peering at the scoreboard for out-of-town scores from the Pittsburgh and Tennessee games than taking care of business on the field. Meanwhile the Broncos 6-9 Broncos, winners of three of their last four, will be focused on taking down their division rivals. Oakland won the first meeting at home in week one, 24-16, but the Broncos have since ditched Joe Flacco at QB in favor of Drew Lock, who hasn't been bad.

Coin Flip: Oakland

Prediction: Broncos 20 Raiders 14

8:20 pm San Francisco 49ers (-3, 47) at Seattle Seahawks - Last game of the regular season is a meaningful one, the winner taking home the title of NFC West champion. Seattle got sucker punched by Arizona last week, 27-13, while the 49ers were rallying to a 34-31 win over the Rams.

Seattle won the first meeting of these two, 27-24, in overtime, in week 10. This return bout should be equally thrilling with the 49ers favored at Seattle, a place that used to offer the Seahawks a huge advantage, though this year they're just 4-3 at home. Give the 'Niners a little bit of an edge, only because they appear to be playing just a little better at this point and should be dangerous in the playoffs.

Coin Flip: Seattle

Prediction: 49ers 26 Seahawks 21
