4:05 pm Seattle Seahawks (-5, 47 1/2) at Arizona Cardinals - What's happened to the Seahawks? They appeared to be a sure thing to beat New Orleans last week with Drew Brees on the mend, but the Saints put 33 on them with Teddy Bridgewater running the show.

Seattle's defense is giving up an average of 318.3 yards per game, good, but allowing 26.3 points, not so good. Fortunately, their opponent is the 0-2-1 Cardinals, but they're home and Arizona is going to win a game sooner than later. This could be the week.

Coin Flip: Arizona

Prediction: Cardinals 23 Seahawks 21

4:05 pm Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (-10, 50 1/2) - The Bucs last a heartbreaker at home last week, losing, 32-31, to the Giants on a missed field goal at game's end. Now, they have to travel across the country to meet the Rams, who are 3-0 and looking every bit the part of a Super Bowl contestant from last season.

Tampa's offense has been fairly proficient, but they scored just 20 points at Carolina in week two, their only win and that's not likely to be enough against the heady Rams.

Coin Flip: Tampa Bay

Prediction: Rams 34 Buccaneers 20

4:25 pm Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos (-3, 38 1/2) - Denver is favored by a field goal because they're at home? It certainly can't be that they're better than the Jaguars.

Denver is 0-3 with Joe Flacco at QB. With Gardner Minshew III, the Jaguars are 1-2, including a 13-12 loss at Houston. While Denver's altitude may have some effect on the Jacksonville defense, it's not a given that Flacco and company can take advantage. The Jaguar defense should be the difference.

Coin Flip: Jacksonville

Prediction: Jaguars 17 Broncos 13

4:25 pm Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (-2 1/2, 38) - A key NFC North meeting in Windy City, where the Cubs have been eliminated from the post-season, so the city needs a team to get behind. The Bears finally played to their potential in last week's 31-15 win at Washington, but will they show that same level of play?

The Chicago defense has allowed just 13 points per outing, third best in the league. The Vikings are right there, tied for #5 with Buffalo, giving up 15.7. The difference is Minnesota's offense is outscoring the Bears by nearly ten points per game - 26.0 to 16.7. Mark the Vikings a winner.

Coin Flip: Chicago

Prediction: Vikings 23 Bears 21

8:20 pm Dallas Cowboys (-2 1/2, 46 1/2) at New Orleans Saints - Somewhat surprised at this line, making the Cowboys a road favorite in the SuperDome. The Saints, of course, will go with Teddy Bridgewater, as Brees is out with a wrist injury, but TeddyB showed his value, winning at Seattle last week.

The Cowboys, however, may be in a different league altogether. Their three wins were over the Giants, Redskins, and Dolphins. So, maybe it's just who they've played that made them look so unbeatable. Still, well give the Vegas crowd the benefit of the doubt.

Coin Flip: New Orleans

Prediction: Cowboys 28 Saints 24

Monday, September 30

8:15 pm Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4, 43 1/2) - Both teams are coming off tough road losses in this AFC North clash. Pittsbugh fell victim at San Francisco, 24-20, in a game that featured seven turnovers. The Bengals had a 17-14, fourth quarter lead, but Buffalo rose to the occasion at home for a 20-17 victory. The Bengals also turned the ball over four times, two each, fumbles and interceptions.

It would appear that this game will be won by the team that makes fewer mistakes, and that team is more than likely to be the Steelers.

Coin Flip: Cincinnati

Prediction: Steelers 26 Bengals 16

Bye: NY Jets, San Francisco
