NFL Week 6 Late Games
All times Eastern
4:05 pm Atlanta Falcons (-1 1/2, 52) at Arizona Cardinals - Getting their first win of the season with a 26-23 road win at Cincinnati, the Cardinals may be finding their best stride, both offensively and defensively. Remember, the Cardinals tied Detoit in week one, and they were very competitive against the Ravens the following Sunday, despite losing.
Atlanta has no excuses for being 1-4, and Arizona's Kyle Murray has proven to be exciting and versatile, as expected. Both teams give up plenty of big points and high scores, so this is more than likely to have a total in the 60s if the offenses are on cue.
Coin Flip: Arizona
Prediction: Cardinals 41 Falcons 28
The Rams have not looked superior to anybody, going 3-2, especially the past two weeks, losing at home to Tampa Bay and on the road in a charged environment in Seattle. Making them as the favorites here, even though they're at home, might be a huge mistake.
Coin Flip: LA Rams
Prediction: 49ers 24 Rams 21
That said, Dallas isn't going to make the same mistakes against the lowly Jets, and New York doesn't have an offense to make them pay, anyway. The Jets have scored just 39 points in four games, second only to Miami's 26 (ouch!). Something seriously wrong with the Cowboys if they don't win this by 20 or more.
Coin Flip: NY Jets
Prediction: Cowboys 35 Jets 13
With some confidence built, they host the Titans, who showed zero offensive punch against Buffalo in a 14-7 loss, though the Bills' defense is one of the top units in the league and really had Tennessee's number. Denver isn't going to go easy on the Titans and they may have turned a corner.
Coin Flip: Tennessee
Prediction: Broncos 23 Titans 17
The Chargers were held in check by Denver last week in a 20-13 defeat. Denver's defense was solid, so the Chargers still have plenty of offensive gusto. Pittsburgh will likely want to slow everything down, run the ball, control the clock. If successful, they'll at least be in a position for an upset.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Chargers 26 Steelers 23
8:15 pm Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers (-4 1/2, 47) Green Bay rolled though Dallas last week, scoring a 34-24 win on the road. The Lions were off, watching closely how to defense Aaron Rodgers and running back Aaron Jones, who scored four TDs.
Detroit knows the Pack all too well. The teams split their games last season, but the 31-0 Lions' win at the end of the regular season was a meaningless game played mainly by backups. The Lions may pull out all the stops here, as a loss would leave them in a tough spot in a tough division. Expect a battle to the finish.
Coin Flip: Green Bay
Prediction: Lions 30 Packers 27

Week 6 Early Games
4:05 pm San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams (-4, 48 1/2) - This is about as big a game as there is this weekend, and may hold the key to the playoff futures of both teams. The 49ers have emerged quickly as a serious contender in what is likely the league's best division. In fact, with a win, San Francisco can put the Rams in a serious hole. The 49ers aren't 4-0 without a reason, and it's been an aggressive defense and timely offense that have combined for success.
4:25 pm Dallas Cowboys (-8 1/2, 43 1/2) at New York Jets - Dallas got beaten up at home by Aaron Rodgers and mistakes cost them dearly in Sunday night's embarrassing, 34-24, loss to the Packers. The Cowboys had their chances in the second half, and had Rodgers looking worried about a big comeback, but they didn't execute and turned the ball over at critical junctures.
4:25 pm Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos (-2 1/2, 39) - Finally getting their first win of the season with Joe Flacco at quarterback, the Broncos took it to the Chargers early and held on for a 20-13 win. Denver's defense played phenomenally throughout and kept the Chargers out of the end zone and red zone consistently.
8:20 pm Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers (-6 1/2, 41 - The Chargers are competitive against everyone, as are the Steelers, but Pittsburgh may be forced to go with undrafted rookie, Devlin Hodges, as backup QB Mason Rudolph goes through concussion protocol.
