NFL Week 10 Picks - Late Games
NFL Week 10 Late Games
All times Eastern
Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals (-2, 56) 4:05 pm (CBS) - Buffalo is having a remarkable season, leading the AFC East with a 7-2 mark, but they won't get a break at Arizona, where the Cardinals are looking to shrug off last week's 34-31 loss to Miami. Buffalo handled the Seahawks, 44-34, for their third straight win.
Both teams are playoff contenders, with Arizona only a game back of Seattle in the NFC West. A win and a Seahawks loss to the Rams (4:25 ET) would put the Cardinals in a first place tie with Seattle and a leg up in tie-breaks due to their 37-34 OT win in week 7.
This may be the best game on the weekend's slate in terms of viewability. Both squads are young, exciting to watch and very likely playoff-bound.
Coin Flip: Buffalo
Prediction: Bills 37 Cardinals 34
Denver has improved with Drew Lock at QB, winning two of their last four, improving to 3-5, though last week's loss at Atlanta was a setback. Still, Atlanta has a solid team despite their record (3-6) which gives Denver hope against their division rival. The Raiders may win, but the margin may be quite slim.
Coin Flip: Las Vegas
Prediction: Raiders 28 Broncos 27
Tagovailoa may make it look easier this time, at home against a playoff outsider, Besides, the Dolphins are tied for fourth with Pittsburgh in points allowed (20.1). The Chargers allow, on average, 27.0.
Coin Flip: Miami
Prediction: Dolphins 30 Chargers 20
This is the first of two meetings, the second slated for week 16. Edge goes to the Rams for home field and their excellent defense. Also, they're coming off a bye.
Seattle is 30th in points allowed, giving up an average of 30.4 per game. The Rams are poised for an offensive explosion.
Coin Flip: Los Angeles Rams
Prediction: Rams 38 Seahawks 23
However, in the ebb and flow that is the NFL, look for the 49ers to have more players returning from injury on the offensive side (Deebo Samuel, Tevin Coleman) and a defense that knows it needs to play better, while New Orleans must regroup from an emotional win. That this game could be close would not be surprising, nor would a San Francisco win.
Coin Flip: New Orleans
Prediction: Saints 30 49ers 27
Bear in mind that Joe Burrow improves every week, and the Bengals are coming off a bye week. Prior to that they defeated Tennessee. Pittsburgh's last three wins were by 3, 4, and 5 points, respectively.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Steelers 26 Bengals 23
Baltimore needs to keep pace with the Steelers and they have the league's #1 defense, allowing just 17.8 points per game. Offense has not been New England's strong suit this season and if the Pats aren't careful to keep Lamar Jackson in check, this could get out of hand.
Coin Flip: New England
Prediction: Ravens 31 Patriots 10
Minnesota Vikings (-2 1/2, 44 1/2) at Chicago Bears 8:15 pm (MIN) - Right now, even at 3-5, the Vikings look vastly superior to the 5-4 Bears, who have lost three straight. Offensively, Chicago has been lost for weeks, with penalties, mental miscues and errant throws causing the defense to have to carry too much of the load.
The Vikings are more disciplined on offense and their defense is improving, allowing 22 points at Green Bay and 20 to the Lions last week, both wins.
Coin Flip: Minnesota
Prediction: Vikings 27 Bears 16

Week 10 early Games
Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders (-5, 52) 4:05 pm (CBS) - With three wins in their last four outings, the Raiders may actually be thinking about taking the division from Kansas City. Though they're still two games back, they have a win over the Chiefs already and host them next week, but need to take care of business against the Broncos.
Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins (-2 1/2, 48) 4:05 pm (CBS) - While Chargers' QB Justin Herbert has gotten plenty of praise for his play, his team is just 1-6 with him behind center. Meanwhile, Miami has surprised the entire league, going 5-3, winning four straight, the last two with rookie Tua Tagovailoa the starting QB. Tua wasn't exceptional in the 28-17 win over the Rams, November 1, but he showed his dynamic nature winning at Arizona last week, 34-31.
Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (-1 1/2, 55 1/2) 4:25 pm (Fox) - If it seems like every game in the NFC West is a big one, it's probably because the division is ultra-competitive. Only the 49ers are under .500, at 4-5. Seattle leads by a game over Arizona and the Rams, making this contest for a share of first place.
San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints (-9 1/2, 50) 4:25 pm (Fox) - After the Saints demolished the Buccaneers, 38-3, Sunday night for their fifth straight victory, and the 49er fell to Green Bay Thursday, 34-17, this game, once considered to be competitive, looks like a possible Saints' rout.
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-7 1/2, 47 1/2) 4:25 pm (Fox) - Despite their record of 2-5-1, the Bengals have been competitive in all but one game (27-3 loss at Baltimore, Oct. 11). Their four other losses have been by five points or less. They have not won on the road and the Steelers remain undefeated after a scare in Dallas, resulting in a late comeback for a 24-19 win.
Baltimore Ravens (-7, 43 1/2) at New England Patriots 8:20 pm (NBC) - Given that the Patriots just managed to get by the Jets Monday night, 30-27, the Ravens are probably licking their chops to take a crack at them in Foxboro.
Monday, November 16
Bye: Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, New York Jets
