New England Patriots at Arizona Cardinals (-6, 45.5), 4:25 pm (CBS) - The Cardinals, who were leading the NFC West a month ago, have dropped three straight and are in danger of missing the playoffs. Their defense has been solid, but inability to score in the red zone has hurt them.

They may get a break with visiting New England. Under Drake Maye, the Patriots are just 1-6 and overall are 2-5 on the road this season. Maye looks like the future for the Patriots, but he's got a lot to learn and the AZ defense may force some mistakes.

Coin Flip: New England

Fearless Rick's Pick: Cardinals 34 Patriots 16

Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos (-4, 44.5), 4:25 pm (CBS) - The Broncos ar tied with the Ravens and Chargers at 8-5, and all three appear capable of reaching the playoffs as wild cards.

The is running out on the 6-7 Colts who have a -31 scoring differential whereas Denver is +71.

Coin Flip: Indianapolis

Fearless Rick's Pick: Broncos 24 Colts 14

Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions (-2.5, 53.5), 4:25 pm (CBS) - This is about as close as a pick 'em game as there's been all season and it could really go either way. The Bills lost ground on the Chiefs for the #1 slot and a bye in the playoffs with their 44-42 loss to the Rams last weekend. However, after this, Buffalo hosts the Patriots, then the Jets, before closing out the season at New England.

Thus, a win here is not a must for them as they're tied with Pittsburgh at 10-3 and the Steelers face a rough road the final four games. That said, the Bills still want to win this game, and since they're getting points, they get the nod.

Coin Flip: Detroit

Fearless Rick's Pick: Bills 34 Lions 31

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Chargers (-3, 45.5), 4:25 pm (FOX) - Tampa Bay is coming off a 28-13 win over the Raiders. The Chargers lost at Kansas City, 19-17.

Both teams appear playoff-bound, the Bucs as winners of the NFC South, the Chargers as an AFC wild card. Tampa Bay has the edge offensively. The Chargers are robust on defense. Hard to see this game not going right down to the wire.

Coin Flip: Los Angeles Chargers

Fearless Rick's Pick: Buccaneers 24 Chargers 23

Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles (-5, 42.5), 4:25 pm (FOX) - There aren't many who thought the Steelers would be 10-3 at this juncture, but here they are. The Eagles are a solid 11-2, winners of nine straight and a serious contender for the top slot in the NFC.

It should be fun to watch Russell Wilson and Jalen Hurts ply their trades at QB, but the Eagles, in addition to home field, have more deadly weapons and should win going away.

Incidentally, Pittsburgh has Baltimore, KC, and Cincinnati remaining after this game. It's conceivable that they could lose all four games and still make the playoffs.

Coin Flip: Philadelphia

Fearless Rick's Pick: Eagles 27 Steelers 17

Green Bay Packers (-3, 45.5) at Seattle Seahawks, 8:20 pm (NBC) - As good as the Packers are at 9-4, the Seahawks are right there at 8-5, leading their division. A win here goes a long way toward the NFC West title.

Giving Seattle points at home may be a big mistake even though they're just 3-4 in home contests this season. They've won four straight and are at the top of their game. The Packers lost, 34-31, at Detroit last Thursday, so they've had ample time to recover. Should be a tight one.

Coin Flip: Green Bay

Fearless Rick's Pick: Seahawks 29 Packers 28

Monday, December 16

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (-7, 43.5), 8 pm (ABC) - Minnesota's shown considerable grit trying to keep pace with the Lions in the NFC North, a game behind heading into week 15. Sam Darnold has brought his A game this season, not surprising with the talented duo of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison on the receiving end.

Chicago has no such offensive might and has lost seven straight, the latest a 38-13 beatdown at San Francisco. Minnesota won the first meeting, 30-27, at Chicago in overtime, three weeks ago. Expecting the same result, a Vikings win, but by a larger margin.

Coin Flip: Minnesota

Fearless Rick's Pick: Vikings 31 Bears 13

Atlanta Falcons (-4.5, 44.5) at Las Vegas Raiders, 8:30 pm (ESPN) - The NFL saved the worst for last it seems. Both teams are struggling to the finish line. The Falcons have lost four straight; the Raiders, seven in a row. Why anybody would wager on the game is a mystery, but, if you must, take the Raiders and points at home.

Atlanta completely fell apart last week in the second half at Minnesota. Vegas, baby.

Coin Flip: Las Vegas

Fearless Rick's Pick: Raiders 23 Falcons 20
