3 Texas A&M (-6.5, 47.5) at 22 Missouri 3:30 pm (ABC) - Missouri has a very good football team, but they’ve proven no match for the SEC elite and none are more elite this season than the Aggies, who have a national championship-like swagger about them.

Last seen blowing away LSU in the swamp, 49-25, A&M simply has too much offense for the Mizzou.

Coin Flip: Missouri

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Aggies 38 Tigers 21

9 Oregon (-6.5, 43) at 20 Iowa 3:30 pm (CBS) - Outside of Ohio State, Iowa probably has the best defense in the country and their offense is on the improve. Two losses were to Iowa State, 16-13, and Indiana, 20-15, so they are as.ready a bunch as can be found.

The Ducks have not impressed voters sufficiently to move them to the upper echelons of the rankings and being on the road puts them at a serious disadvantage.

Coin Flip: Oregon

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Hawkeyes 24 Ducks 17

Auburn at 16 Vanderbilt (-7, 46) 4:00 pm (SECN) - Last week’s 34-31 loss at Texas may have cost the Commodores a trip to the national playoffs, but they are still a high-quality team with significant upside potential. The season is far from over, so winning their remaining games is of paramount importance.

Four of Auburn’s five losses have been to ranked SEC foes, and all have been one-score games except tfor their 20-10 loss to Georgia. The defense should keep them in this one and maybe the offense can find a way to win it late.

Coin Flip: Auburn

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Tigers 23 Commodores 21

Wake Forest at 14 Virginia (-7, 47.5) 7:00 pm (ESPN) - The Cavaliers were upset, 35-31, at NC State back in September, but have strung together seven straight wins since them and exhibit a never-say-die attitude.

At issue here is Virginia’s sometimes open defense, which Wake can exploit. The Deacons have played well against some of the best ACC teams and this is an old-fashioned Tobacco Road rivalry. Despite last week’s 42-7 loss at Florida State, Wake Forest could easily upset here.

Coin Flip: Wake Forest

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Cavaliers 27 Demon Deacons 24

California at 15 Louisville (-18, 51) 7:00 pm (ESPN2) - The Cal Bears aren’t nearly the worst team in the ACC - far from it, but, they may not be able to get the Louisville offense off the field often enough to stay competitive in this contest.

The Cardinals have plenty of offense and occasionally show up on defense. The huge spread is much to ask of them, however.

Coin Flip: Louisville

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Cardinals 34 Golden Bears 23

LSU at 4 Alabama (-9, 50) 7:30 pm (ABC) - Sorry to say, but the Tigers are in disarray, while the Crimson Tide keeps rolling along. Wins by the Tide over Georgia, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Tennessee - all ranked - have them set up for the SEC championship game and the national playoffs.

LSU usually puts up a good fight in these contests, but this is clearly not their year.

Coin Flip: Alabama

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Crimson Tide 35 Tigers 17

Navy at 10 Notre Dame (-26, 55.5) 7:30 pm (NBC) - The Irish lost their first two games of the season - 27-24 at Miami and 41-40 vs. Texas A&M, two quality opponents. Since then, they’ve won six straight and appeared dominant doing so.

Last season, the Middies were unbeaten when they met the Irish, but the result wasn’t pretty, a 51-14, turnover-filled loss. The coaches and players who were part of that game surely haven’t forgotten and will emphasize ball security and field position. They may not win, but a blowout seems unlikely for 7-1 Navy.

Coin Flip: Navy

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Fighting Irish 31 Midshipmen 17
