South Carolina at 23 Missouri (-9, 48.5) 7:00 pm (ESPN) - South Carolina was ranked as high as 13 preseason, but after a sloppy performance in a 24-11 win over Virginia Tech in their opener, and last week’s 31-7 loss at home to Vanderbilt, they don’t look like Top 25 material.

Missouri is off to a 3-0 start, including a 42-31 win over a decent Kansas team. The Tigers were a sleeper last season, going 10-3 and 5-3 in the SEC. They have plenty of talent and could take advantage of the slipping Gamecocks, who beat them 34-30 last season in SC.

Coin Flip: South Carolina

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Tigers 38 Gamecocks 20

Florida at 4 Miami (-8.5, 51.5) 7:30 pm (ABC) - If this one looks a little to easy, it’s because it is. Miami took down Notre Dame in grand fashion in their season opener, 27-24, and last week dispatched South Florida, 49-12. The Bulls had upset the Gators just the week prior. Carson Beck, transferred from Georgia and has the offense clicking.

The Gators are 1-2 mostly because their offense is sporadic and cannot sustain drives, plus, they need a place kicker. DJ Lagway threw five picks in last week’s 20-10 loss at LSU and it is going to be difficult to come back against a solid Miami defense.

Coin Flip: Miami

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Hurricanes 38 Gators 17

9 Illinois at 19 Indiana (-7, 53) 7:30 pm (NBC) - Prime time for two rising Big Ten programs means national coverage for a match-up of unbeaten teams.

Both teams have loads of talent, high profile coaches and could go a long way in this new era of building via the transfer portal. Since neither team has shown any hint of backing down and Illinois was supposed to have trouble two weeks ago at Duke but won, 45-19, taking the points is a must go.

Coin Flip: Indiana

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Fighting Illini 27 Hoosiers 23

Arizona State at Baylor (-2.5, 59.5) 7:30 pm (FOX) - There’s been some drop-off in talent at Arizona State, but the one constant has been the play of QB Sam Leavitt, who helped lead the Sun Devils to the Big 12 title and the playoffs last season.

After opening with a 38-24 loss to Auburn, Baylor stopped SMU, 48-45 in double overtime on the road. Senior QB Sawyer Robinson has a bevy of wideouts with speed and agility which will make it tough on the Sun Devils’ secondary. They can score 30-40 points any time they hit the turf.

Coin Flip: Arizona State

Fearless Rick’s Pick: Bears 38 Sun Devils 28
