NCAA Week 4 Late Games
All times Eastern
3:30 pm #8 Auburn at #17 Texas A&M (-3 1/2, 48) - Auburn had trouble with Oregon in week one, eventually turning it on in the second half for a 27-21 win. The last two weeks were spent tuning up against Tulane and Kent State, both easy wins. This is the Tigers' first road game of the season.
The Aggies had blowouts over Texas State (41-7) and Lamar (62-3) sandwiching a 24-10 loss at Clemson, which is no embarrassment. Doubtful the Auburn defense can hold off the Aggies consistently.
Coin Flip: Auburn
Prediction: Aggies 27 Tigers 20
Pitt put up quite a fight in last week's 17-10 loss at Penn State, but were outplayed in week one by Virginia, 30-14. Their defense is excellent, but the offense often sputters, which could be a problem against UCF, which is always well-prepared. Home field will help the Panthers some, but likely not enough to win, though a close call is a possibility.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Knights 24 Panthers 20
The Huskies will have to be ready to play a full 60 minutes. They're one point from being 3-0, having lost to Cal, 20-19, in week two. The Huskies ravaged Eastern Washington, 47-14, and Hawaii, 52-20, but BYU is in a different class. Unconvinced Washington is capable of running away from the Cougars, who have momentum and home field on their side.
Coin Flip: Washington
Prediction: Cougars 30 Huskies 24
Oregon played well opening weekend, losing at Auburn, 27-21, in a game they could have won. Since then, all they've done is hammer Nevada, 77-6, and Montana, 35-3. While this game is traditionally a barn-burner, it appears the only burning will be done by the Ducks, scorching the field on offense.
Coin Flip: Stanford
Prediction: Ducks 42 Cardinal 20
Like most Big 12 games, offense will be showcased and a wild west shootout is a possibility. Texas surely doesn't want to lose a second game, especially in their conference opener, and the Cowboys are 3-0. Overtime? Maybe.
Coin Flip: Texas
Prediction: Longhorns 38 Cowboys 35
In wins over Vanderbilt, Murray State and Arkansas State, the Bulldogs have outscored their opponents a combined 148-23. Impressive. By most accounts, Georgia has everything and may be too much for Notre Dame to handle.
Coin Flip: Georgia
Prediction: Bulldogs 48 Fighting Irish 24
This is likely to look a little like last week's loss to the Sooners, only worse.
Coin Flip: UCLA
Prediction: Cougars 56 Bruins 17

Week 4 Early Games
3:30 pm #15 UCF (-11 1/2, 61 1/2) at Pittsburgh - If there was any doubts about the UCF Knights, they were allayed last week when they hammered Stanford, 45-27. They're 3-0 and looking to go undefeated for a third straight regular season.
3:30 pm #22 Washington (-6 1/2, 52 1/2) at BYU - Very tough call as BYU takes on one tough team after another. They lost to Utah, 30-12, week one, but has bounced back with consecutive OT wins, 29-26 at Tennessee, and 30-27 last week over USC.
7:00 pm #16 Oregon (-10 1/2, 57 1/2) at Stanford - This is a major West coast rivalry in the PAC-12, but this current Stanford team does not appear to have all the pieces of the puzzle just yet. The Cardinal topped Northwestern, 17-7, in week one, but they've been pounded on the road the last two, losing, 45-20, at USC, and 45-27, at UCF. Obviously their defense is lacking.
7:30 pm Oklahoma State at #12 Texas (-5 1/2, 73) - The Cowboys, scoring 49.3 points per game, will surely put the Texas defense to the test, but the Longhorns may be up for it, though their 45-38 loss to LSU says otherwise.
8:00 pm #7 Notre Dame at #3 Georgia (-14, 58) - This is a huge game for Notre Dame in terms of national championship hopes, as it is for the Bulldogs. The Irish have a 2-0 mark, winning at Louisville, 35-17, and plundering New Mexico, 66-14, last week. It's hard to believe that those opponents have the Irish prepared for a top-notch SEC foe.
10:30 pm UCLA at #19 Washington State (-18 1/2, 57 1/2) - The Bruins are 0-3 and looking rather pathetic after losses to Cincinnati, San Diego State and Oklahoma (48-14). They get no break against the run-and-gun Cougars, who are tied for 9th in scoring with Georgia and Oklahoma State, at 49.3 points per game.
