1:00 pm Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings (-7, 42 1/2) - Kirk Cousins has looked sharp in two Minnesota wins and will get in two quarters or more in this tune-up. While the Cardinals seek to improve off their horrific, 3-13 mark last year, they're not all the way there, though Kyler Murray, their rookie #1 pick QB, will get a good test here.
That fat, seven-point line isn't there for show. The Vikings were close to making the Super Bowl last season and have one of the best teams in the league. Arizona should prove no match on the road.
Coin Flip: Minnesota
Prediction: Vikings 27 Cardinals 13
That should prove a big advantage to the Texans. The comparisons of Houston QB, Deshaun Watson and the Cowboys' Dakota Prescott should be interesting.
Coin Flip: Dallas
Prediction: Texans 20 Cowboys 14
The Bears need to win here in order to have more confidence going forward. It's possible that they aren't concerned about preseason, but winning tends to be contagious.
Coin Flip: Indianapolis
Prediction: Bears 20 Colts 14
New Orleans had a nice comeback win on the road against the Chargers last week, winning, 19-17, and their opening week loss to the Vikings, 34-25, showed they're ready to play.
Coin Flip: New Orleans
Prediction: Saints 28 Jets 13
The 49ers have wins over Dallas and Denver and look better than their 4-12 mark from last season. While the Chiefs don't really defend well, they can score plenty. Taking a stab with the 'Niners to spring an upset or come close enough to cover.
Coin Flip: Kansas City
Prediction: 49ers 33 Chiefs 31
The Rams have the skill players, despite, losses to Oakland, 14-3, and Dallas, 14-10. The week two game was played in Hawaii, so this is the Rams' first home game of the preseason and should make a difference.
Coin Flip: Denver
Prediction: Rams 24 Broncos 14
Seattle is, as always, a dangerous team, though they really don't appear to have enough of an edge to make them road favorites here. The game seems pretty evenly matched, so home field may provide some separation.
Coin Flip: Seattle
Prediction: Chargers 22 Seahawks 17
8:00 pm Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans (-3, 40) - Good reason to back the Titans after their game performance in a 22-17 loss to New England. They should bounce back against the Steelers and showed some quality in week one, topping the Eagles in Philadelphia, 27-10.
Pittsburgh is still trying to work out the losses of Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, some very big shoes (and helmets) to fill, but they've done well, winning 30-28 over Tampa Bay and posting a surprising, 17-7, win against the Chiefs last week. Notably, those games were at home. This one is not.
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
Prediction: Titans 23 Steelers 16

Week 3 early Games
7:00 pm Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys (even, 40 1/2) - The battle for Texas bragging rights runs right through Big D, but tow of Dallas' big guns are questionable. Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper may see only limited action, if any.
7:00 pm Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts (-4, 40 1/2) - Is Chicago's 0-2 record in preseason reason for concern? We'll find out when Mitchell Trubisky gets to play more than just a few series. Matching him against the Colts' Andrew Luck would be nice, but Luck is not going to play and may not even be ready for the regular season.
7:30 pm New Orleans Saints (-3, 42 1/2) at New York Jets - Pinning their hopes on Sam Darnold this season, the Jets are 1-1 in preseason play, losing the other Giants, 31-22, and whipping a listless Falcon team last week, 22-10. They're home for this meeting with the Saints, and will have to find ways to slow down Drew Brees, who will likely play into the third quarter.
8:00 pm San Francisco 49ers at Kansas City Chiefs (-3 1/2, 43 1/2) - Saturday night game should be a rocker. The Chiefs and 49ers should put on an offensive show, though the Chiefs are arguably the better team. They showed up in week one, ripping the Bengals, 38-17, but didn't fare well at Pittsburgh last week, in a dull, 17-7, loss.
9:00 pm Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Rams (-2, 37 1/2) - Getting by the Falcons late in the Hall of Fame game, the Broncos haven't done much since, losing to Seattle, 22-14, and San Francisco, 24-15. Life isn't likely to improve for Joe Flacco and crew against the Rams, who are looking to get back to the Super Bowl this season.
10:00 pm Seattle Seahawks (-3, 40 1/2) at Los Angeles Chargers - The Chargers are 0-2, but the games have been close, losing, 17-13, at Arizona week one, and dropping a 19-17 decision to the Saints last week. As they were last season, the Chargers are going to be competitive, but they need to find a way to finish games.
