NCAA Week 2 Late Games

3:30 pm Georgia Tech at Florida State (-12 1/2, 52) - The winner of this game will likely earn a Top 25 ranking, only because the SEC isn't yet in action. Georgia Tech is keeping their starting QB's name a secret until game time. Either sophomore James Graham or freshman Jeff Sims will go.
Graham saw action in 10 games last season for the Jackets, but was unimpressive as Tech slumped to a 3-9 mark.
James Blackman starts at QB for the Seminoles. He was 3-5 as a starter last season and has a big arm, tossing 17 scores and 11 picks. Being a conference game, look for Florida State to assert itself on defense, which should improve on a 6-7 record last season.

UTEP beat Stephen F. Austin last week, 24-14, to open their 2020 campaign. They also won their first game in 2019 before losing 11 straight. The closest comparison to what they'll face in the Longhorns is probably a Sept. 7 game from last season, a 38-3 loss at Texas Tech. Blowout city.

Week 2 Early Games
7:00 pm Missouri State at #5 Oklahoma (-42 1/2, 66 1/2) - Missouri State was 1-10 last season and probably is going to be stomped by the Sooners, so don't be putting up rent money on this one.
7:30 pm #1 Clemson (-33, 60) at Wake Forest - The last time Wake Forest beat Clemson, all of the current players were in grammar school. The Demon Deacons won an October 9, 2008 meeting at Wake, 12-7. Since then, the Tigers have won 11 straight including a 63-3 dusting in 2018 and last season's 52-3 blowout.
8:00 pm UTEP at #14 Texas (-43, 58 1/2) - Sam Ehlinger returns as the starting QB for the Longhorns, a team which went 8-5 in 2019, including a 38-10 win over Utah in the Alamo Bowl. Four Texas losses were to Big 12 teams, the other to national champion, LSU, 45-38.
