Fearless Rick & Coin Flip NCAA Week 10 Late Games
All times Eastern
5 Georgia (-7, 51) at Florida 3:30 pm (ABC) - Florida has a new head coach, for now. Billy Gonzalez has the “interim” tag after the Gators parted ways will Billy Napier.
This game isn’t actually a Florida home game, but is played in Jacksonville, billed as the “world’s largest outdoor cocktail party.” Georgia fans should be enjoying champagne around the third quarter if the Bulldogs play to their potential.
Coin Flip: Florida
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Bulldogs 31 Gators 17
With two losses, Notre Dame appears to have a path to the national playoffs, with Navy, Pitt, Syracuse, and Stanford ahead. This looks to be the easiest of the remaining games, so don’t look for the Irish to go easy.
Coin Flip: Notre Dame
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Fighting Irish 49 Eagles 14
The 7-1 Red Raiders have lost to Arizona State only, and have an opportunity to get into the conference championship game should BYU or Cincnnati falter. Last week they shut out Oklahoma State, 42-0 and have ample firepower to run away from the Wildcats.
Coin Flip: Kansas State
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Red Raiders 31 Wildcats 20
4-4 NC State has losses to Duke, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Pitt on their resume. No reason to believe they’re going to upend the Yellow Jackets.
Coin Flip: NC State
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Yellow Jackets 38 Wolfpack 24
The Sooners seemed to be headed in the right direction after a 5-0 start, but losses to Texas and Ole Miss have hit hard. The Vols lost a shocker to Georgia and were handled at Alabama in their worst showing of the season, but they rebounded for a huge win at Kentucky last week and are very tough at home. Should be a shootout.
Coin Flip: Oklahoma
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Volunteers 38 Sooners 31
The Trojans have more than enough talent to put Nebraska away if they avoid turnovers and stay focused. USC’s losses were quality: 34-24 at Notre Dame last week, and 34-32 at Illinois three weeks back.
Coin Flip: USC
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Trojans 38 Cornhuskers 27
6-2 Utah is heavily favored at home due to their defensive prowess and CIncy being short-handed in the backfield. The Utes are coming off a 53-7 romp over Colorado and should have plenty left in the tank.
Coin Flip: Utah
Fearless Rick’s Pick: Utes 34 Bearcats 23
