8:20 pm Denver Broncos (-2, 41 1/2) at Arizona Cardinals - In two road games this season, the Broncos have been lit up, 27-14 at Baltimore, and 34-16 at the NY Jets. So far, they're not traveling well.
Arizona, despite their ugly 1-5 record, has had a number of close calls at home, notably, a 16-14 loss to the Bears and a 20-17 defeat by Seattle. They're better at home than the Broncos are on the road. No brainer.
Coin Flip: Arizona
PREDICTION: Cardinals 24 Broncos 21
9:30 am Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers (-6 1/2, 45) (London, England) - The Chargers are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, having won three straight and four of their last five. The only losses were to Kansas City and the Rams, so no shame there. This is a very solid football team flying under the radar. Last week's 38-14 slaughter of Cleveland showed their ability.
How good (or bad) can the Titans be? They lost to Buffalo and Miami, and were hammered at home by Baltimore last week, 21-0. Something is wrong in Tennessee.
Coin Flip: Los Angeles Chargers
PREDICTION: Chargers 34 Titans 10
The Bills continue to improve, but they'll be without rookie QB Josh Allen, so either Nathan Peterman or Derek Anderson will run the offense. Buffalo's defense is ranked #3 in yards allowed per game (311.7). Look for a couple of Bills' picks and a tight one, possible upset.
Coin Flip: Buffalo
PREDICTION: Colts 23 Bills 18
Coin Flip: Carolina
PREDICTION: Panthers 23 Eagles 22
Tampa Bay recovered from their 48-10 drubbing in Chicago in week four with a bye, followed buy a 34-29 defeat at Atlanta. The Bucs are ready to play, and with James Winston back at QB, they're likely to be better than advertised. Still, they're only 2-3, so a must-win situation at home exists. Close call, but the Bucs should get the better of the Browns.
Coin Flip: Tampa Bay
PREDICTION: Buccaneers 26 Browns 21
The Lions are just 2-3, but nobody in their division is running away, so they look good to take this road game.
Coin Flip: Detroit
PREDICTION: Lions 31 Dolphins 21
This looks like a week where the points are very friendly and this will be a field position, low-scoring affair.
Coin Flip: Houston
PREDICTION: Texans 20 Jaguars 17
Minnesota is in good shape in their division and really can't afford a loss here. Plus, their defense seems to be picking up, which should be good against Jets' rookie QB, Sam Darnold.
Coin Flip: NY Jets
PREDICTION: Vikings 30 Jets 20
Coin Flip: New England
PREDICTION: Patriots 31 Bears 9

1:00 pm Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts (-7 1/2, 43 1/2) - Just in case nobody's noticed, the Colts are 1-5. Sure the schedule has been tough, but who's isn't. Andrew Luck has been throwing the ball all over the place, racking up big numbers but only one W. Sad. And they're a TD favorite over Buffalo?
1:00 pm Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles (-4 1/2, 45 1/2) - Statistically, this game is very even. Neither team has an advantage on either offense or defense, so the choice has to be Carolina, since they're getting more than the usual three points and even game would warrant. The Eagles could win by a tied goal, but not much more. The Panthers could also win. It's a real toss-up game. Consider the 4 1/2 points (if you can get them) a bonus.
1:00 pm Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3, 49 1/2) - Cleveland got pounded by the Chargers last week, 38-14, so they're still not any better than any other 2-3-1 team, but they are miles ahead of last season's disaster.
1:00 pm Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins (-3, 46 1/2) - Miami got some relief in overtime against the Bears via a missed Chicago field goal, and won, keeping them tied with the Patriots in the AFC East at 4-2, but their record is suspicious.
1:00 pm Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-5, 42) - Everybody except the Colts are 3-3 in the AFC South, so this sets up as a really key game, meaning, it should be a close one. Houston takes no prisoners and is a very hard-nosed group. The Jags are inconsistent, and their defense lost it on the road the past two weeks, allowing 70 points in back-to-back losses at KC and Big D.
1:00 pm Minnesota Vikings (-3 1/2, 47) at New York Jets - The Jets are unpredictable, but one of the more exciting surprises this season, notching wins over Detroit, Denver, and Indy.
1:00 pm New England Patriots (-3, 49 1/2) at Chicago Bears - Nah, the Patriots can beat anybody, any place, any time. The Bears have been overhyped by the press and their loss in OT proves they are not yet playoff caliber.
