NCAA College Football Week 7 Picks - Late Games
NCAA Week 7 Late Games
All times Eastern
3:30 pm #2 Georgia (-7 1/2, 50 1/2) at #13 LSU - Biggest game of the week in the SEC has the Tigers on the prowl after being upended by Florida last week, 27-19, suffering their first loss of the season.
A win here is a must if the Tigers are looking for an SEC title game as they have Alabama in town on November 3.
Georgia hasn't missed a beat, but they've played only one team, that being South Carolina, which was ranked #24 in week two. The Bulldogs clocked them, 41-17. Both defenses are game, and this will not be easy on either team. LSU getting points at home is something not to pass up, as they should keep this close and maybe upset the Bulldogs.
Coin Flip: Georgia
PREDICTION: Tigers 23 Bulldogs 21
Now that the present is here, Oregon will be looking to open up their offense, though that's likely to be difficult, even on home turf. Washington's defense is pretty stingy, allowing just 13.7 ppg, tied with Cincinnati for 3rd-best in the country. The Ducks will be swimming upstream here.
Coin Flip: Washington
PREDICTION: Huskies 35 Ducks 24
Last season, Penn State was upset, 27-24, at Michigan State, so revenge will be sweet.
Coin Flip: Penn State
PREDICTION: Nittany Lions 48 Spartans 16
Texas may suffer a lapse in focus following their 48-45 win over the Sooners last week. The Longhorns are 5-1, but three of those were by seven points or less. Baylor should be able to stay close until the final gun. This could be a wild one.
Coin Flip: Baylor
PREDICTION: Longhorns 35 Bears 31
The Gamecocks have rebuilt over the past two seasons, but are still not among the elite teams in the conference. Losses to Georgia and Kentucky were lopsided and their 37-35 win over Missouri last week exposed some defensive weaknesses. They're OK at home, but the Aggies are capable of blowing them out.
Coin Flip: South Carolina
PREDICTION: Aggies 34 Gamecocks 23
Alabama's football team may as well be from another planet. Somehow, teams have been able to average scoring 16 points per game against the top team in the country. Leading the nation at 56 points per game, the Tide may roll to 70 on their own against the Tigers. Missouri has lost two straight (Georgia and South Carolina) allowing 43 and 37 points in those contests. This will be far worse.
Coin Flip: Alabama
PREDICTION: Crimson Tide 63 Tigers 17
Improving to 5-0 with a 38-22 win over Kansas last week, the Mountaineers have risen through the rankings weekly, but this may be their toughest test yet. A win is not out of the question, though it will be contested by the very gritty home team.
Coin Flip: Iowa State
PREDICTION: Mountaineers 31 Cyclones 27
After an opening loss to LSU, Miami is on a path to capture the ACC Coastal division and an eventual meeting with Clemson in the conference championship. Four of Miami's remaining six games are on the road, making this one a must win.
Coin Flip: Miami
PREDICTION: Hurricanes 28 Cavaliers 14
The Badgers have a 24-21 loss to BYU as their only blemish, thus, they are 2-0 in the conference and looking to stay unbeaten in the Big Ten. Michigan has an edge on offense, but Wisconsin's defense should keep them under wraps.
Coin Flip: Michigan
PREDICTION: Badgers 27 Wolverines 24
USC has been very much maligned after back-to-back losses to Stanford and Texas, but they've rebounded with wins over Washington State and Arizona. Having an extra week off for this home game gives the Trojans a huge edge and the makings for a big upset.
Coin Flip: USC
PREDICTION: Trojans 28 Buffaloes 16

Week 7 Early Games
3:30 pm #7 Washington (-3 1/2, 57 1/2) at #17 Oregon - College fans may discount the PAC-12, but the 5-1 Huskies look like the real deal, their only loss a week one, 21-16, defeat at the hands of Auburn. Last week's 31-24 win at UCLA may have been a bit of a hiccup, and the Huskies may have been looking past that game.
3:30 pm Michigan State at #8 Penn State (-13 1/2, 54) - This is one of a handful of important games in the Big Ten and Penn State needs to get back on track after giving up a lead and losing to Ohio State, 27-26, two weeks ago. Otherwise, the Nittany Lions would be undefeated. Offensively, Penn State's 49.6 points per game ranks fourth nationally, Michigan State is 85th, scoring just 27.7 per outing.
3:30 pm Baylor at #9 Texas (-14, 60 1/2) - Despite a 66-33 beating at Oklahoma two weeks back, the 4-2 Baylor Bears are an improving lot and their offense can put up points from anywhere on the field.
3:30 pm #22 Texas A&M (-2, 52 1/2) at South Carolina - Scoring a huge win over Kentucky last week, 20-14 in overtime, the Aggies are on a path to at least a major bowl game but not much more, since their only losses this season were to Clemson and Alabama. That says a great deal about the quality of this team, considering their loss at Clemson was a narrow one, 28-26.
7:00 pm Missouri at #1 Alabama (-28, 74 1/2) - Sure, take the Mizzou. Go ahead.
7:00 pm #6 West Virginia (-6 1/2, 56) at Iowa State - The Cyclones got a needed win when freshman Brock Purdy stepped in at QB and led them to a 48-42 win at Oklahoma State. Iowa State has had a tough schedule with losses at Iowa, Oklahoma and TCU, but those have all been within 10 points (17-14 at TCU).
7:00 pm #16 Miami (-6 1/2, 48 1/2) at Virginia - Not having faced any team of Miami's caliber, this is a real class test for the Cavaliers. Last year the Hurricanes hammered them, 44-28 in Miami.
7:30 pm #15 Wisconsin at #12 Michigan (-8 1/2, 47) - There was some question about Michigan's overall ability this season after opening with a 24-17 loss at Notre Dame, but the Wolverines have answered the bell five straight since then and the Irish are still undefeated. That should silence most of the critics, but a win here would go much further.
10:30 pm #19 Colorado (-7, 57) at USC - The Buffaloes are 5-0 but all those wins were against teams with losing records, save last week's 28-21 win over Arizona State, which entered the game at 3-2.
