7:30 pm Temple at #12 UCF (-10 1/2, 61) - The Knights are the owners of the nation's longest winning streak, dating back to the start of 2017, when they went 13-0, and extending through their 7-0 record this year. They've only had one close call, a 31-30 thriller at Memphis three weeks ago and last week's bye has them rested and ready for a challenge by the Owls.
Temple started 0-2, but since have won five of six, the only loss a 45-35 defeat at Boston College. After wins over Navy and Cincinnati by identical 24-17 scores and a bye last week it's not unreasonable to assume that the Owls will put forth a solid effort. UCF wins by an average of 26.3 points per game and should win this one by at least 14.
Coin Flip: UCF
PREDICTION: Knights 31 Owls 17
7:30 pm Pittsburgh at #25 Virginia (-7 1/2, 48 1/2) - Despite a 4-4 record, the Pitt Panthers are 3-1 in the ACC and are just 1/2-game behind the Cavaliers (4-1) in the conference's Coastal division, so this is no walkover for Virginia. Pitt's problem is on the defensive side, allowing 32.6 points per game, the bulk of those coming in a 51-6 loss to Penn State, a 45-14 pounding at UCF, and last week's 54-45 win over Duke.
6-2 Virginia has reeled off consecutive conference wins over Miami, Duke, and North Carolina and are one of the nation's premiere defensive units, allowing 18.8 points per contest. This is likely to be a defensive struggle with the Cavaliers standing tall at the end.
Coin Flip: Virginia
PREDICTION: Cavaliers 27 Panthers 17
4-5 Arizona upended Oregon last week, 44-15, on the return of QB Khalil Tate. With him running the offense along with stud running back J.J. Taylor, the Buffaloes will be gassed on defense and lose their fourth straight.
Coin Flip: Arizona
PREDICTION: Wildcats 38 Buffaloes 27
12:00 pm Louisville at #2 Clemson (-39, 59 1/2) - That's not a typo. The Tigers are favored by nearly six touchdowns. Nobody's beaten the 2-6 Cardinals by that amount, but it could happen. Alabama topped them, 51-14, and Georgia Tech pummeled them 66-31. Even Wake Forest beat Louisville by 21 points last week.
But, get this: Clemson's last three wins were 63-3 at Wake Forest, 41-7 over NC State, and 59-10 at Florida State. With the game on Clemson green, another huge blowout is to be expected.
Coin Flip: Louisville
PREDICTION: Tigers 56 Cardinals 9
The Buckeyes have only one loss - a 49-20 thumping at Purdue - but they've had a week off to fix whatever was broken. Their pass defense broke down badly in that loss and they will see plenty of passing by Nebraska, so this could be closer than the line suggests. Ohio State will probably win, but not likely by nearly three TDs.
Coin Flip: Nebraska
PREDICTION: Buckeyes 38 Cornhuskers 28
The Demon Deacons have been pounded by better opponents, particularly, Notre Dame, Clemson and even Florida State. Syracuse should roll up more than 45 points against a porous defense.
Coin Flip: Wake Forest
PREDICTION: Orange 48 Demon Deacons 31
Auburn doesn't have much in the way of offense, while the Aggies are allowing just 21.5 points per game, They'll limit the Tigers, but Auburn's defense allows just 16.5 (#13). Get ready for a low-scoring, tight contest
Coin Flip: Auburn
PREDICTION: Tigers 20 Aggies 18
Kansas topped TCU last week, but really, the 3-5 Jayhawks are much better at basketball.
Coin Flip: Iowa State
PREDICTION: Cyclones 35 Jayhawks 14

Friday, November 2
10:30 pm Colorado at Arizona (-3, 57 1/2) - A few weeks ago, Colorado was a ranked team, but consecutive losses to USC, Washington, and Oregon State have sent them reeling to a 5-3 mark.
Saturday, November 3
12:00 pm Nebraska at #10 Ohio State (-18, 72 1/2) - Somewhat surprising the line isn't larger, considering that Nebraska is 2-6. However, the 'Huskers have been playing better, topping Minnesota and Bethune-Cookman after taking Northwestern into OT in a 34-31 defeat.
12:00 pm #19 Syracuse (-5, 75) at Wake Forest - Don't expect much in the way of defense in this ACC clash. Syracuse scores lots of points (43.6 per game, #7 nationally) and Wake gives up plenty (36.8). The Orange have finally cracked into the rankings after knocking off NC State last week, but must guard against overconfidence and a hostile crowd.
12:00 pm #20 Texas A&M at Auburn (-4, 48 1/2) - Both teams have fallen on hard times recently, but the Aggies haven't been hurt too badly, still in the Top 25 after their 28-13 loss at Mississippi State. This will be their third straight road game and they will be hard-pressed to survive against the hungry Tigers.
12:00 pm #24 Iowa State (-14 1/2, 48) at Kansas - Despite a 4-3 mark, Iowa State has gotten the recognition they deserve by joining the Top 25 after defeating Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Texas Tech handily and in succession. Their three losses - Iowa, Oklahoma, TCU - were by 10, 10, and 3 points.
