NFL Week 11 Picks - Late Games
NFL Week 11 Late Games
All times Eastern
4:05 pm Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-7, 46 1/2) - The Chargers have own six straight, tying Houston for the longest current AFC winning streak and they're no joke. The move to LA has invigorated this bunch, and they're a serious consideration for at least a wild card, their only losses to the Rams and Chiefs, two of the best teams in the league. The offense is ranked #10 in scoring, the defense, #8 in points allowed.
The Broncos are 1-3 on the road, the only win a 45-10 rout of Arizona, in which Denver was the willing recipient of five Cardinal turnovers. Otherwise the Broncos have lost six of their last seven and are probably thinking more about golf than the post-season.
Coin Flip: Denver
PREDICTION: Chargers 34 Broncos 16
The Raiders have scored just nine points in their last two games. Arizona's defense isn't that good (18th in points allowed, 25.0), but they're probably good enough to stifle anything Oakland has.
Coin Flip: Arizona
PREDICTION: Cardinals 24 Raiders 10
Philadelphia's defense is quite solid, allowing just 20.3 points per game, which is #6, and they should be able to put a stopper on the Drew Brees express to the Hall of Fame at least part of the time. Philly will benefit from playing against one of the more deficient defenses in the league. The Saints are allowing 25.8 points per game, tied with Carolina for #23. This should be close enough for the Eagles to cover and an upset is not out of the question.
Coin Flip: New Orleans
PREDICTION: Saints 36 Eagles 31
The Vikings had last week off, while the Bears were dusting Detroit, 34-22, and are home for the second straight week. Minnesota has won four of their last five, the loss a 30-20 defeat at the hands of the Saints. The Bears have statistical advantages on both sides of the ball, but the Vikings will come well-prepared and have more experience, which may be telling in what figures to be a close, defensive contest.
Chicago is second in rushing yards allowed (84.0), Minnesota third, at 88.9.
Coin Flip: Chicago
PREDICTION: Vikings 20 Bears 19
8:15 pm Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Rams (-3, 62) - This was originally slated to be played in Mexico City, but poor field conditions convinced the NFL to move the game to Los Angeles, a real bonus for Rams' fans.
These are the #2 (KC) and #3 (Rams) scoring teams in the league, so offensive fireworks are expected, which is a big plus for ESPN, which has aired some questionable Monday night specials this season.
Defensively, the teams are also not far apart, with the Rams holding a slight edge in points allowed, 23.1-24.0, but the Chiefs look like winners with the points in what should be a close game, the team with the ball at the end likely the winner.
Coin Flip: LA Rams
PREDICTION: Chiefs 37 Rams 35

Week 11 Early Games
4:05 pm Oakland Raiders at Arizona Cardinals (-4, 40 1/2) - At 1-8, the Raiders are the worst team in the league. Even though the Cardinals are just 2-7, they are at home and have some hope with Josh Rosen behind center.
4:25 pm Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints (-8 1/2, 54 1/2) - Can any ten hope to slow down the Saints? They've won eight straight after dropping their season opener, 48-40 to Tampa Bay. The New Orleans offense has put up 40 or more points in five games this season, and they are the highest-scoring team in the league, averaging 36.7 per game.
8:20 pm Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (-2 1/2, 45 1/2) - Showdown in the NFC North, has the 5-3 Bears hosting the 5-3-1 Vikings, the winner to hold first place in the division.
Monday November 19
Bye: Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami, New England, NY Jets, San Francisco
