NFL Week 13 Picks - Late Games
NFL Week 13 Late Games
All times Eastern
4:05 pm Kansas City Chiefs (-15, 55 1/2) at Oakland Raiders - The Chiefs have scored at least 26 points in every game this season and are averaging 36.7, second in the league to the Saints. Oakland averages 17.0 points per game and have scored 28 or more twice, ringing up a 2-9 record. The Raider defense allows 29.7 points per game (30th). Even at home, Oakland is lost.
Coin Flip: Oakland
PREDICTION: Chiefs 45 Raiders 21
Tennessee is very up and down, at 5-6 they're on the cusp of playoff hopefuls, but the Jets may be good enough to cover or even spring an upset if they can get a few turnovers, something the Titans do with regularity. Marcus Mariota was sacked six times in their 34-17 loss at Houston last week. The Jets' defense may be good enough to win this one.
Coin Flip: Tennessee
PREDICTION: Jets 20 Titans 17
With wins over Green Bay, Chicago, Houston, and Kansas City, New England seems good enough, but the Vikings are hot after knocking off Green Bay Sunday night. Should be closer than the line suggests.
Coin Flip: Minnesota
PREDICTION: Vikings 34 Patriots 30
This looks like it could be quite the rout.
Coin Flip: San Francisco
PREDICTION: Seahawks 31 49ers 6
Coin Flip: Pittsburgh
PREDICTION: Chargers 31 Steelers 26
8:15 pm Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (-6 1/2, 44) - The Redskins have to pin their hopes on the arm of Colt McCoy if they hope to find a way to the playoffs. They're tied with the Cowboys at 6-5 in the NFC East, but lost to Dallas last week, 31-23, and lost at Dallas in week seven, 20-17. Now they have to tangle with the 5-6 Eagles in Philadelphia. All indications are that the Eagles are ready to put in a late-season run and the Redskins won't stand in their way.
Coin Flip: Washington
PREDICTION: Eagles 30 Redskins 20

Week 13 Early Games
4:05 pm New York Jets at Tennessee Titans (-9, 40 1/2) - The Titans are scoring just 17 points per game this season, and that's fewer than the Jets (20.1). They do have a sizable edge defensively, but the Jets have nothing to lose.
4:25 pm Minnesota Vikings at New England Patriots (-6, 48 1/2) - The Patriots seem to be getting by on reputation. While they are 8-3, the losses have been to second-rate teams: Detroit, Jacksonville, and Tennessee. Facing the Vikings, who are in a position for a wild card or even the division title, New England will have to prove they belong.
4:25 pm San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks (-10, 46) - These two teams square off twice in the next three weeks, making the 6-5 Seahawks' path to a wild card a little bit easier. The 49ers have won just twice in 11 tries, beating the Lions in week two and the Raiders in week nine.
8:20 pm Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3 1/2, 51 1/2) - Rightfully, the Sunday night match-up looks to be the best game of the week. The Steelers lead the AFC North, while the Chargers are a game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West. This is a showdown and a shootout, and the Chargers, winners of seven of their last eight, have an edge with Phillip Rivers at QB and a defense that doesn't yield many points (19.9 per game, 4th). Pittsburgh is no slouch, having won six straight before losing at Denver, 24-17, last week. Also, they're 2-3 at home this season.
