8:20 pm Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-3 1/2, 53) - Toss the stats for the final three weeks of the regular season. It's all about who's healthy, who wants it more, and who has experience in crunch time.
Putting those concepts together for this game, Phillip Rivers has a big edge at QB over Patrick Mahomes and that's what matters most in this QB match-up. KC took a 38-28 win over the Chargers in week 1. Look for LA to even the score and tie for the lead in the AFC West.
Coin Flip: Kansas City
PREDICTION: Chargers 34 Chiefs 30
4:30 pm Houston Texans (-6, 41 1/2) at New York Jets - For the Jets, this is a spoiler game, a chance to send a message to a team heading to the playoffs and to the rest of the league for next year. Unfortunately, the message they'll more than likely be sending is that they're done for this season. Houston got a wake up call from Indy last week, dropping a 24-21 decision, snapping their nine-game winning streak. They still have a two-game lead in the division, so a win here and a win either at Philadelphia next week or against the Jags in week 17 clinches the division no matter what the Colts or Titans do.
Houston should lock it down pretty hard in New York.
Coin Flip: NY Jets
PREDICTION: Texans 31 Jets 13
Meanwhile, nobody really wants to play the Browns at this juncture. They have nothing to lose and plenty to play for in terms of the future, which, in Cleveland, has the name Baker Mayfield on it. Buh-bye, Broncos.
Coin Flip: Denver
PREDICTION: Browns 25 Broncos 17
1:00 pm Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons (-8 1/2, 44) - Both teams are out of the playoff hunt, so some players may be out there just trying not to get hurt. The Cardinals have been playing a little better ball of late and all those points may be of assistance.
Coin Flip: Atlanta
PREDICTION: Falcons 27 Cardinals 21
Of all the games this weekend this is probably the toughest call. The Colts are 4-2 at home; the Cowboys just 2-4 on the road. Indy needs the game more as there are four AFC teams at 7-6 seeking one wild card (The Chargers are 10-3 and have one locked up). If the Colts were able to defeat Houston on the road, they should be able to handle Dallas at home, right?
Coin Flip: Indianapolis
PREDICTION: Colts 23 Cowboys 17
Coin Flip: Detroit
PREDICTION: Lions 30 Bills 24
Green Bay has an interim head coach, a head case in Aaron Rodgers, but the Bears want payback for week one, when Rodgers brought the Packers back from a deep deficit and a 24-23 win. Green Bay is out o playoff contention. The Bears want to maintain their positive momentum and should be hyped to beat up on another division rival.
Coin Flip: Green Bay
PREDICTION: Bears 34 Packers 21
Meanwhile, the Vikings have lost two straight and their offense is dead in the water. Seattle held them to seven points in Monday's 21-7 victory, but the Vikings at least have home field advantage. At 6-6-1, Minnesota may still be alive in the playoff hunt even with a loss. This should be a close game. Miami is just 1-5 on the road, but they'll make this one a nail-biter at least.
Coin Flip: Miami
PREDICTION: Dolphins 23 Vikings 21
Coin Flip: Cincinnati
PREDICTION: Raiders 24 Bengals 20
The Ravens have an oppressive defensive unit that may shut out the Buccaneers.
Coin Flip: Tampa Bay
PREDICTION: Ravens 38 Buccaneers 10
Of all the teams at 7-6 in the AFC, the Titans appear to be one of the best to grab the last wild card. They have two home games following this, but the pressure is on for a win. Manning and the Giants are not going to go down easily and the Tennessee defense will have to put together a solid effort, but they should escape New York with a victory.
Coin Flip: Tennessee
PREDICTION: Titans 23 Giants 20
Coin Flip: Jacksonville
PREDICTION: Redskins 20 Jaguars 13

Week 15 Late Games
NFL Week 14: Coin: 11-5; Rick: 8-8
Cumulative: Coin: 92-106-5; Rick: 99-104-5
Thursday, December 13
Saturday, December 15
8:20 pm Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos (-3, 45 1/2) - At 6-7, Denver still has an outside shot at a wild card, but everything has to fall right for them. Their 20-14 loss at San Francisco last week probably sealed their fate and will keep them out of post-season play.
Sunday, December 16
1:00 pm Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts (-3, 47) - The Colts stood up and handled the Texans last week, and they're likely to have a little bit of a letdown. The same can be said of the Cowboys, who went to overtime to defeat the Eagles and wrest control of the NFC East.
1:00 pm Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills (-2 1/2, 38) - The Bills are banged up on defense and their offense is still having growing pains. The Lions have nothing for which to play except their jobs next season. This ought to be a bad game start to finish, but the Lions are probably just a little better than the Buffalo babies.
1:00 pm Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (-5 1/2, 45) - Chicago really proved themselves with their 15-6 win over the Rams. They have one of the best defenses in the league and a win here clinches the division.
1:00 pm Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings (-7, 44 1/2) - Don't look now, but the Dolphins are still in the playoff picture after their miracle 34-33 win over the Patriots last week.
1:00 pm Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-3, 46) - The Bengals gave the Chargers a scare last week, losing, 26-21, in LA, while the Raiders were ripping up the Steelers, 24-21. Oakland seems to have some momentum, whereas the Bengals have lost five straight. Stick with the hot hand from the West.
1:00 pm Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Baltimore Ravens (-8, 46 1/2) - Simple said, this is a walkover for the Ravens. Tampa Bay has been up and down all year, but they're actually 3-8 after a 2-0 start. Baltimore has gotten new life with Lamar Jackson at QB, and are in a tight fight for the AFC North or a wild card.
1:00 pm Tennessee Titans at New York Giants (-2 1/2, 43 1/2) - The Giants have won four of five, the only loss in that span a 25-22 setback at Philadelphia, so they still have life if no playoff hopes.
1:00 pm Washington Redskins at Jacksonville Jaguars (-7, 36) - After their performance at Tennessee last week - a 30-9 drubbing - the Jaguars appear to be more interested in vacation reservations than playing well the rest of the season. The Redskins are 6-7 and still alive for a wild card, so they're not going to fold up their tents on the road, where they are 3-3 this season. Looking like the upset special of the week, here.
