4:05 pm Chicago Bears (-4, 42 1/2) at San Francisco 49ers - The 49ers upset Seattle last week, winning, 26-23, in overtime, but the Bears are not the Seahawks. The Bears are a much improved and dangerous team this season. They've already clinched the NFC North, but they are still in the fight for a first round bye should the Rams stumble. Hard to take a stand on the 49ers, especially since the Bears won't know the Rams' result, as it's being played at the same time.

Even though the 'Niners have won two straight, they're still not playoff material, so the Bears should prevail, though it won't be by very much.

Coin Flip: Chicago

PREDICTION: Bears 20 49ers 14

4:05 pm Los Angeles Rams (-14, 47 1/2) at Arizona Cardinals - The Rams shut out Arizona, 34-0, back in week two and it's safe to say that they're capable of doing something similar here in week 16.

While the Rams have dropped two straight, those were to potential playoff teams, the Bears and Eagles. LA will want to dominate the Cardinals, and should manage to do so, though a two TD win is a big question. Arizona isn't going to just hand them the win.

Coin Flip: LA Rams

PREDICTION: Rams 28 Cardinals 21

4:25 pm Pittsburgh Steelers at New Orleans Saints (-5 1/2, 53 1/2) - The Saints are already in the playoffs and can lock up a first week bye with a win. They have the best record in the league at 12-2, and home field throughout the playoffs would be a huge advantage in the Superdome, where the fans are rabid and loud.

The Steelers saved their season with a 17-10 win over New England last week, but they still have the Ravens breathing down their neck in the AFC North and still are in need of wins to wrap up the division. The Steelers host the Bengals next week, so this game is not a must win, but they will try their best. Unfortunately, the Saints are better.

Coin Flip: New Orleans

PREDICTION: Saints 31 Steelers 23

8:20 pm Kansas City Chiefs (-2 1/2, 53 1/2) at Seattle Seahawks - Can the Seahawks hang with the Chiefs through four quarters? Kansas City will know by game time whether the Chargers have won or lost, so that outcome may change their focus since they close out the regular season at home against the Raiders, an easier opponent.

No matter the Chargers' outcome, Kansas City would still like to leave Seattle with a win, though it's a very tough place to play and weather may be a factor. The Seahawks need one win to clinch a wild card, so they can do it here or next week at home against Arizona. Seattle's only home losses are to the Rams and Chargers this season, and they'll keep this one close until the finish and maybe even win it in overtime.

Coin Flip: Seattle

PREDICTION: Seahawks 33 Chiefs 30

Monday, December 24

8:15 pm Denver Broncos (-2 1/2, 44 1/2) at Oakland Raiders - By virtue of a 27-14 loss at Baltimore in week three, the Broncos cannot make the playoffs, no matter what the other contending teams do, so this game is a big fat zero, with no playoff implications and no audience. Monday night football just isn't what it used to be, but maybe the Raiders will make it interesting.

Coin Flip: Denver

PREDICTION: Raiders 24 Broncos 23
